The Northern Lymphoedema Support Group

This group is for all people in the North East who live with Lymphoedema and for those who support them.

We hold quarterly meetings at St Oswald\’s Hospice in Newcastle upon Tyne. These and other events organised by volunteer members within the group provide opportunities for Lymphoedema sufferers and their families to come together.

What is Lymphoedema?

Do you have a family member or friend with this condition? Watch this video from Macmillan Cancer Care to find out the basics if you don\’t already know them.

What we do

Our meetings provide the opportunity for those living with Lymphodema and those close to them to come together and share their experiences as well as finding out more about the condition and how best to manage it

Our Area

Our members are predominantly from the North East, areas include Northumberland, North and South of the Tyne, Durham and Middlesbrough. If you are unable to locate a support group in your area, you would be most welcome to attend ours.

Our Outings

We organise at least two outings a year – one during the Summer and a Christmas Lunch.

Our Meetings

We have 4 meetings a year when  a health care professional or member of a healthcare organisation recommended by St Oswald\’s Hospice gives a talk relevant to Lymphoedema.
